This policy provides a daily cash indemnity benefit, ranging from $100 to $900 in $100 increments, for each day a covered person is confined to an ICU due to a covered accident or illness. The confinement benefit period cannot exceed 30 days. The daily benefit reduces to 50% at age 70. The policy also includes an ambulance benefit that pays transportation charges to a hospital where the covered person is admitted directly to an Intensive Care Unit.

The Hospital Intensive Care coverage is designed to supplement other products; therefore, it must be sold in conjunction with other health products and may not be sold as a stand-alone sale unless the applicant already owns another Loyal American Life supplemental health insurance policy.
