Fall 2010 National Healthcare Career Network Scholarship Application

The FALL application period is open September 8, 2010.  Recipients will be announced by December 15, 2010.

It takes a special person to dedicate themselves to a career of caring for others. Doctors, nurses, aides and therapists provide direct patient care and their work is supported by the many others who work in the different facets of hospital administration. In recognition of the importance of this dedication and the impact of all health care jobs on our health we are proud to announce the National Healthcare Career Network (NHCN) Scholarship Program.

The NHCN brings together health care audiences across the health care spectrum and connects them through a single network. The goal of the NHCN is to create a network of linked professional health care membership organizations to provide job placement, career development and advancement opportunities to health care professionals.

NHCN ScholarshipThe scholarship will be awarded to individuals committed to health careers and to being life long learners, mentors, and volunteers who will participate in professional societies, community organizations and networking groups as they advance in their careers. Students and professionals from all areas of health care, clinical and non-clinical, are encouraged to apply. Special consideration will be given to those interested in positions that are difficult to fill or with high turnover rate including nursing, radiology, pharmacy, therapy, business/health care administration, medical technology, allied health, etc.

The NHCN Scholarship Program is made possible through the generous contributions of the American Hospital Association’s Career Center Charter Members and the leaders at these organizations who enthusiastically support health care education.
