Interoperability: Leveraging Technology to Improve Processes
Featuring Cancer Treatment Centers of America

  • Event Date:
  • Event Time: Noon Central

Removing disconnected systems, multiple information “siloes” and manual processes is essential to improving patient care — and is the impetus behind the field’s focus on interoperability.

As health care organizations continue to work toward achieving HIMSS Stage 7 and Meaningful Use certification, they seek solutions that make data, regardless of origin, accessible — across departments, institutions, networks, exchanges, states and even countries — when and where health care professionals need it.

In this webinar, Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) shares its strategic approach to leveraging technology to improve processes and compliance in both its intake and health information management (HIM) departments. CTCA is fully converting from its legacy system to enterprise content management (ECM), integrating the ECM solution across multiple platforms throughout its national network of cancer treatment hospitals and oncology clinics. CTCA’s Western Regional Medical Center is the nation’s first all-digital cancer hospital, and following its ECM implementation, it earned a 2010 CIO 100 Award and 2010 Most Wired designation.

Attendees Will Learn:

  • To make the right data, regardless of origin, accessible to the right health care professionals right when they need it
  • To increase the value of existing systems and better leverage its technology investments
  • Strategically unite systems and foster user adoption of EMRs
