Mary Kay Cornwell is the Paralegal for Risk Management and Claims for San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, New Mexico. She works directly with the Legal, Risk Management, Quality, and Compliance Departments, coordinating efforts to keep a positive flow. Mary Kay’s career in the legal field began in 1982 when she went to work for 27 years with Richard L. Gerding, a local attorney, and the attorney for SJRMC. She worked very closely with the management team for SJRMC during that tenure. When Mr. Gerding retired, it was a natural fit to work directly for the hospital where she has worked for the last 6 years
